I think that I might've stumbled into the font mother lode over at SearchFreeFonts.com, a treasury of over 13,000 (!) free downloadable fonts.
The best way to sort through this font cornucopia would be to check out the Categories, where you're presented with a nice and tidy list ranging from Script to Typewriter; you can search alphabetically as well if you know the name of the font you're looking for.
